County Cavan Golf Club Membership Categories

Country Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is not their Home Club for handicap purposes, but who wish to be Country Members here. They must be full members elsewhere and must not live within an eight mile radius of this Club in order to qualify. They do not have any voting or ownership rights in this Club.

Distance Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is their Home Club for handicap purposes, but who live outside a fifty mile radius and do not have any address within that distance of this Club. It does not carry any voting or ownership rights in this Club, but gives entitlement to play in nearly all Club Competitions.

Beginner Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is their Home Club for handicap purposes, but who are new to golf, not having been a member of an affiliated Club or Society before. It is available for one year only, if the qualification requirements are met. It does not carry any voting or ownership rights in this Club.

Overseas Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is not their Home Club for handicap purposes, who reside outside Ireland but who wish to be Overseas Members here. It does not carry any voting or ownership rights in this Club.

Juvenile Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is their Home Club for handicap purposes, who are under 16 years of age. It does not carry any voting or ownership rights in this Club.

Student Membership is intended for those for whom this Club is their Home Club for handicap purposes, who are over 16 years of age and are undergoing a full-time course of education or serving an apprenticeship. It does not carry any voting or ownership rights in this Club. Pavilion Membership is intended for those who want access to the Clubhouse facilities. It does not carry any playing, voting or ownership rights in this Club.

Full Membership is intended for all adult members who, whether they qualify to be members under some other category or not, apply for, are elected to and pay to become Full Members with full playing rights, voting rights and ownership rights as defined in the Club Constitution And Rules. Full Members aged 65 or over, who have completed 20 years Full Membership or Associateship Membership, can avail of a concessionary rate of 60% of subscription and levy (if any), while still retaining all of their rights as Full Members.
