Course & Club Regulations and Etiquette

Our Location

We believe that this statement of rules seeks respect for the traditions and rules of the game, as well as due consideration for other players, is appropriate and will be appreciated by all who enjoy golf. We shall endeavour to keep maintenance work on the course to a minimum at playing times, we reserve the right to carry out necessary work from time to time.

General Etiquette

  • Societies play from the forward tee positions (green tees)
  • Strict adherence to tee-times is requested. Players late for their tee time may be requested to delay their start time.
  • No Mobile phones are permitted.
  • All notices and signs must be obeyed.

Dress Code on the course

  • No denim jeans or other forms of denim wear.
  • No wearing of tee shirts, football shirts or shirts without collars or sleeves.
  • No training, track or sports shoes.
  • SOFT SPIKES ONLY (facilities for changing metal spikes available in Pro-Shop)
  • No track suits or shell suits
  • No wearing of trousers inside socks unless specifically designed for the purpose.
  • Tailored shorts are allowed on the course but not in the clubhouse.

Rules in the Clubhouse

  • Smart casual wear is acceptable except on special occasions as notified on the notice board.
  • No training, track or sports shoes.
  • Shorts are not allowed in the Clubhouse.
  • No denim jeans, denim wear or track / shell suits.
  • Bags, shoes and other equipment are not to be left in the entrance hall or passageways.
  • Guests of members, other than those paying temporary membership fees are required by law to sign the Visitors Book.

Tee Reservations

  • Members Time: Sat 12.30pm - 15.30pm.
  • Ladies: Wednesday is Ladies’ Day with draw times from 9.30am. Ladies have priority on Wednesdays.
  • Juniors : Saturday 08.00am - 09.30am in Winter. Tuedays 09.00am - 10.30am in Summer.

Course Care and Player Consideration

  • Please leave our course in such a way to ensure that it is presented to others to the standard you would expect to find it
  • Give other players the consideration they deserve and keep the flow of play continuous by calling players through where appropriate. NO SLOW PLAY.
  • Please repair bunkers and pitch marks on the green.
  • All visitors to sign the Visitors Book and pay green fees before playing.
  • Visitor tags to be clearly visible on golf bags.
  • We reserve the right to request any visitors not complying with the rules to leave the course and / or Clubhouse.
