Draw-sheet will also be posted in Juvenile Locker-room

It is has been decided to hold one Juvenile Matchplay event merging the three competitions and the winner will be awarded the Coleman Cup, the oldest of the matchplay trophies.

Players will play off their full handicap with the higher handicap player being allowed the difference in shots over an 18 Hole event. Players play off the Green, White Tees or Red Tees as per their handicap

Competition will be held during August with each of the rounds as follows;

1st Round – To be completed by Tues 11th Aug. 4 players receive a bye into Round 2.

2nd Round – To be completed by Tues 18th Aug.

Quarter Finals – To be completed by Tues 25th Aug

Semi-Finals – To be completed by Tues 1st Sept

Final – Sat 5th Sept.

Player on top of the draw (first name out) has responsibility to make contact with their opponent to arrange the match with a view to agreeing a suitable time and date. Telephone contact numbers will be listed on drawsheet in Juvenile Locker room. Please avoid arranging matches on Sun mornings (Senior Men’s Compeititons) or Wednesdays (ladies’ Day).

When match has been played, the responsibility is with the the losing player to record the winning player’s name on the next slot on the drawsheet.

If no name has been posted to progress to the next round by the end date of each round, both players are ‘scratched’ from the competition – this is enable the competition to continue and for the benefit of other players.

All matches are to be played to a conclusion – if the match is level (all square) after 18 holes, play continues on a ‘sudden death’ basis on 1st hole again (the competitor’s 19th) and so on until someone wins a hole and that player is declared the winner of the match. In this situation, the shot differences apply again where appropriate for those holes until a winner is declared

As always, matches are to be played in a courteous manner
