Juvenile Matchplay competitions will start soon. Please register your entry in the Pro Shop before Tuesday 30th June. It is understood that many juveniles are now scheduled to be away at Gaeltacht or on holidays over the coming weeks up to 18 July. Every effort will be made to arrange match-play competitions around these dates and for matches to be played after they return. Some Juveniles have left details of dates that they are unavailable in the Pro Shop. If you wish to play in match-play and don’t want to miss out, please leave your name at Pro Shop. It may not be possible to facilitate everyone but we will try to do so.
Handicap revisions are listed above but do not include Juveniles playing off White or Red Tees as revisions for these senior handicaps need to be referred to the relevant Handicap Secretary for Men’s and Ladies’ Clubs respectively and will be updated where appropriate before the next competition.
A full review of all Juvenile handicaps is being done as each event is being played and this will involve significant changes to a number of the handicaps where some players had no handicaps at all and others where the handicap level has needed to be adjusted. The objective will be to equalize the handicaps for all players to make to playing environment competitive. They will move within their own range (Yellow/Green/White) and at times recommendation will be made for them to move up to the next level – Yellow to Green to White Tees or from Yellow to Red Tees. When moving to White or Red, 3 cards are required to secure a senior handicap and these will be referred to the relevant senior Handicap Secretary
Yellow – up to 54 Handicap
Green – up to 36 Handicap
White – up to 28 Handicap

Welcome to our website section devoted to Juvenile Golf at County Cavan Golf Club. Our intention is to keep this updated weekly. We would welcome any comments or suggestions that juveniles or their Parents/Guardians may have that will help us to improve the information available to you all.
